Igor Corman: A law on opposition should be drafted

Speaker Igor Corman said a law on the opposition should be formulated. As in other states, the opposition should be able to decide the agenda of the Parliament’s sittings once a month. There must be a law stipulating this even if the opposition does not want it, Igor Corman said in a news conference on July 15, quoted by IPN.

“The quality of the dialogue with the opposition depends on the parliamentary majority. We must be more indulgent and should not answer back by using opposition MPs’ methods,” said the Head of Parliament.

The chairman of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon was the first MP who proposed drafting a bill on the opposition. Earlier, President Nicolae Timofti also said that such a law is necessary.
