The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is urging citizens to come forward with any information that could lead to the whereabouts of Vladimir Plahotniuc, after INTERPOL has put him on international wanted wanted wanted list, IPN reports.

Citizens who have information that could lead to the whereabouts of the person abroad are urged to contact the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office - e-mail:proc-ant@procuratura.md or call the prosecutor on duty +37369 999 999 009.

The decision to announce him wanted internationally follows the revision of a 2020 INTERPOL ruling blocking arrest warrants issued in the name of the former Democratic Party leader. As of 7 February this year, the international wanted for arrest and extradition notice for Vlad Plahotniuc became visible to all 196 members of the international organization for police cooperation.

The arrest warrants for the former democratic leader were issued for the money laundering offense in the bank fraud case.

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is continuing its efforts to extradite and hold accountable Vladimir Plahotniuc and others involved in corruption, a press release from the office said.
