If election had not been rigged, my result would have been much higher, Irina Vlah

The independent candidate for President Irina Vlah believes that the election was rigged, including on election day. Even so, she says that for her and her team, the achieved result is a victory as, for the first time after 30 years of Moldovan politics, an independent candidate managed to obtain such an impressive score.

“Together with mates, we are analyzing information about election day fraud. For us, it is absolutely clear that, beyond the pressure exerted during the campaign, those in who are in power, having all the levers at their disposal, rigged the election, including on the day of voting. If it wasn’t for the pressure witnessed during the campaign, the election had not been rigged, even on election day, my result would have been much higher,” the politician said in a press briefing hosted by IPN.

Irina Vlah noted that she, as an independent, managed to obtain an impressive score “without the support of parties and oligarchs, without administrative resources and without the support of foreign leaders.”

“Dear fellow citizens, your support for me is a great responsibility. That is why I remain by your side and continue the honest fight for the interests of Moldova. It is clear that the government is in agony and no matter how hard they try to remain in power, their time passes. The time is coming for people who really care about this country, who have solutions for citizens’ problems and know how to ensure a decent living for them,” stated the candidate.

She noted she has every reason to say that this year’s presidential election represents “the beginning of the end for the regime of Maia Sandu”. “And we will continue the fight to free the country from the captivity of one of the most odious regimes that ever ruled in Moldova. In the next period, he will make some important announcements regarding the actions that we will take further to save the Republic of Moldova,” said Irina Vlah.

In another development, the politician approved of the voter turnout in the presidential election, saying that the people proved that they care about the country, its present and future and this gives her reasons to look more optimistically into the future

"I want to take this opportunity to thank the citizens of the Republic of Moldova who voted for me. At the same time, I want to thank all those with whom I got in touch during the election campaign. The people have been and remain my source of energy, which gives me the necessary strength to always move forward. I promise that I will continue to stand by the citizens of the Republic of Moldova," said Irina Vlah.
