ICT operators discuss benefits of liberalization

The National Association of Private Companies in the ICT sector will organize a round-table on March 27 on the topic “Advantages and opportunities of ICT sector’s liberalization, for consumers and operators”. The event will bring together representatives of operators and of governmental structures that are responsible for this domain, Info-Prim Neo reports. The event will focus on two main areas of debate for the Moldovan communications’ market, and namely: “Bitstream access and development opportunities for a competitive ICT sector” and “Infrastructure Access”. Thus, Moldtelecom representatives will lay out the access opportunities to the company’s infrastructure for private operators. Together, they will identify cooperation possibilities which will allow alternative operators and new companies to develop their businesses. The event’s goal is to enhance dialogue between the representatives of the business environment, to facilitate the exchange of constructive opinions on this topic and to create conditions for the ICT sector’s development and for fair competition in Moldova. The following organizations will attend this event: The National Regulatory Agency of Electronic Communications and Informational Technologies (ANRCETI), the Ministry of Informational Technology and Communication, alternative operators, members and non-members of the National Association of Private Companies in the ICT sector. The ICT domain is one of great potential and high productivity, currently accounting for 10% of the country’s GDP.
