I see no danger threatening political will to integrate into EU, Galina Balmos

[Info-Prim Neo survey of the Series “Moldova-20! Whereto?”] Asked by Info-Prim Neo to comment on the opportunity of including a special provision about Moldova’s pro-European orientation in the Constitution, Galina Balmos, deputy head of the parliamentary group of the Communist Party of Moldova, said that she sees no danger threatening the political will to become part of the EU. She stated that this is her personal position, while the party’s stance is to be found out. “The Communist parliamentary group’s stand on the issues raised by you has not been yet agreed. In fact, we did not have discussions on the inclusion of provisions regarding Moldova’s European integration course in the Constitution. As deputy head of the group, I cannot state the group’s opinion without consulting its members. I personally do not see a danger that would threaten the political will to integrate into the EU even if there are no relevant constitutional provisions. I consider the entire parliamentary group should be consulted,” said Galina Balmos.
