The Sate Weather Serviced has issued a yellow advisory for increase in the level of water in the Prut River. Floods are possible in parts, including sub-flooding of farmland in the districts of Briceni and Edineț, IPN reports.

The warning was issued in connection with the continuous heavy rainfalls upstream the hydrographical basin of the Prut.

Until June 22, the water level on the section between Criva and Costești localities will continue rising and the total increase will be 1.6-2.7 meters against the level of June 17.
