The Prosecutor’s Office of Soroca district ordered taking legal action over the serious unintentional injuring of a man during hunting near Stoicani village of the district on November 22, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, it was established that one of the seven hunters suffered penetrating wounds in the left eye and right tight when a hunting rifle was discharged. The victim was rushed to the National Clinical Hospital in Chisinau. The hunting involved an employee of the Floresti Division of the Information and Intelligence Service.

On his Facebook page, acting minister of environment Valeriu Munteanu commented on this case: “The lesson of the hunting incident that happened in the Domneasca Forest wasn’t probably learnt. A new ‘illegal’ hunting activity took place near Stoicani village of Soroca district, where a 22-year-old man, Cozari Mihai, was wounded in the eye. The similarities to the fatal incident of December 2012 do not stop here: the protagonists of the hunting included representatives of the Moldovan aristocracy and attempts were made to hide the incident.”
