The hunting of pigeons and quails will be possible by October 13. The hunting season for ducks, hazel grouses and migratory geese will yet close on January 12, while of foxes on February 28, 2014, IPN reports.
Under a Government Decision on the regulation of hunting, wild boars will be hunted from November 17, while rabbits from November 30.
The hunting of spotted deer, roebucks, elks and partridges is banned all over Moldova. The badgers and wolves cannot be hunted either. Instead, the foxes can be hunted without limit as their number is several times higher than the norm.
The Transnistrian administration decided that the sports hunting in the region will start on October 12. The hunters are not allowed to shoot only females that lead the herd. Last year, the Transnistrians complained that the wild boars destroyed their crops, while the local administration announced that the number of such animals was too high.
