The rain of July 24 and the night of July 25 affected hundreds of hectares of crops in a number of settlements. About 265 hectares of vineyard and 86 hectares of orchard were damaged in Taraclia village of Causeni district, IPN reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.

In Saiti, Causeni, the rain damaged 3 hectares of pumpkins, while in Domulgeni, Floresti - 82 hectares of sunflower and 22 hectares of orchard.

The rain with hail destroyed crops in three settlements of Stefan Voda district. In Semionovca, there were affected 83 hectares of sunflower, while in Copceac – 184 hectares of corn, 138 hectares of wheat, 86 hectares of vineyard, and 20 hectares of orchard.

The local commissions for emergencies are assessing the damage caused and the areas affected by the heavy rain.
