Human remains were unearthed today during municipal works on Asachi Street in Chisinau’s Telecentru neighborhood. Police spokesperson Natalia Stati told IPN the bones were sent for a detailed forensic examination.
A forensic specialist that inspected the scene concluded that the remains could be as old as 90 years.
Earlier this week, bones belonging to multiple individuals were found at Valea Morilor Park. Parts of military uniforms indicated the remains could date from WWII.
