Bones that are most probably human were discovered in the Park “Valea Morilor” near the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau. It was preliminarily established that the bones date from the World War II as parts of a military uniform of that time were found at the scene.
Asked by IPN to provide details, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said the first bones were found by workers who were putting up electricity poles. The first examinations showed the bones dated from World War II. Later the workers found more bones.
All the remains will be collected by a competent institution of the Ministry of Justice, which will conduct research.
