The 19th National Wine Day will be celebrated on October 3 and 4, 2020 with the slogan “I Become Holiday”. This year, given the COVID-19 pandemic, the stands of wine producers will be placed in the Great National Assembly Square or on the adjoining streets. The previous years, these stands gathered together over 100,000 people and thousands of foreign tourists, IPN reports.
In a press release, the National Office of Vine and Wine says the event will take place with the observance of all the safety measures, primarily online, where the results achieved during 19 years, which made this holiday become an event celebrated worldwide, will be taken stock of.
The organizers said “I Become Holiday” is actually a call to solidarity with the wine industry. It is an occasion to remember the national legends, to celebrate the successes, to know personalities from the wine industry, to award the best ones, to taste a great variety of wines and to become ambassadors of the Wine of Moldova.
On the first weekend of October, the National Wine Day will be celebrated according to a thematic program that will include an official ceremony and the traditional awarding of Gratitude Medals and awards intended for representatives of the wine industry and an exhibition of the most important moments of the 19 years. There will also be staged an exhibition of wine bottle labels, online and TV and radio programs and special editions centering on winemaking and different contests. Special activities will be held at all the wineries of Moldova, which will meet the guests with a lot of surprises.
The program of the National Wine Day is available on wineday.wineofmoldova.com and on the Facebook and Instagram pages of Wine of Moldova.
