How Moldovans voted abroad

With 80.72% of the vote records in single-member constituency No. 50 westwards Moldova being counted, the results stand as follows: co-president of the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS Maia Sandu – 79.82% of the ballot, the Party of Socialists’ candidate Vadim Rotari – 4.03% and the Democratic Party’s candidate Olga Coptu – 3.76%, IPN reports.

In single-member constituency No. 49 eastwards Moldova, with 85.19% of the vote records being processed, the outcome is as follows: the candidate of the Party of Socialists Gheorghii Para – 54.58% of the vote, the candidate of the bloc ACUM Dorin Frăsîneanu – 19.82% and the Our Party’s candidate Nicolae Țipovici – 12.35%.

After processing 2.308% of the vote records in single-member constituency No. 50, ACUM candidate Dumitru Alaiba emerged victorious with 49.49% of the poll. He is followed by independent candidates Valeriu Ghiletski with 25.42% and Alexandrin Patron with 8.64%.

The voter turnout at the February 24 parliamentary elections exceeded 49% of those put on the voter rolls, which is about 1.451 million people. More than 76,000 Moldovans voted abroad.
