A house located on Sfântul Andrei St in the center of Chisinau was engulfed in flames. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations announced an increased level of intervention. One person was evacuated from inside the house. The firemen continue struggling to contain the blaze one hour after the call was made to the 112 Service, IPN reports.

The firefighters were called out to deal with the fire that broke out on Sfântul Andrei St at around 10:45 a.m. Five teams of rescuers and firefighters were dispatched to the scene. They determined that the flames completely engulfed the house.

The cause and circumstances of the fire are yet to be established.
