Argentina Cocier was chosen winner of the contest to fill the post of manager of the state-run Hotel “Zarea”. She was presented to the staff on September 8, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Public Property Agency.
Lilian Cristiuc, head of the Agency’s Corporate Governance, Methodologies and Regulations Division, expressed his confidence that the new manager will successfully implement good management practices so that the hotel is aligned with the current standards and requirements.
For her part, Argentina Cocier said that she will come with optimal solutions for efficiently continuing the activity of the hotel. Together with the team, she will identify solutions to increase the economic and financial indicators and to restore “Zarea” to its former glory.
Hotel “Zarea” was founded by order of the Ministry and Science and Education of the Republic of Moldova on April 11, 1991. From October 17, 2018, the Public Property Agency has acted as its founder.
The hotel has been exhibited for sale, but no buyers could be found. It didn’t work during the state of emergency declared in connection with the pandemic, but then resumed work.
