A hotel located near Magdacesti village of Criuleni district caught fire in the evening of July 19. The flames destroyed approximately 80% of the roof and the ceiling of the second floor.

Eight firefighting vehicles intervened and extinguished the fire in about an hour, saving thus the rest of the building. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rescuers evacuated six persons from the hotel. Nobody was hurt.

The circumstances and cause of fire are yet to be found out.
