Hotbeds of African swine fever in Moldova declared free from virus

The National Food Safety Agency declared the hotbeds of African swine fever in Moldova free from the virus given that no new cases of infection were reported there, IPN reports.

According to the Agency, there were no cases of African swine fever at national pig farms either, while lab tests are negative at all stages.

The World Health Organization and the partner countries Romania, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia were informed about the declaring of the hotbeds of African swine fever free from virus. However, Moldova remains yet in a risk area.
