Hot weather advancing

The state-run Hydro-Meteo Service announces temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius the coming days. Doctors warn the hot weather may affect one's health, a reason why people should behave with care during this period. A communique issued by the Preventive Medicine Center, quoted by Info-Prim Neo, reads the hot weather can disturb the entire balance of one's organism, generating stresses, migraines, indolence, insomnia and overtiredness. The heat is more difficult to resist in the beginning, because the body is not accustomed to higher temperatures. The perspiration enhances to cool the body. The water takes out salts and vitamins, too. This may affect the people suffering from high blood pressure and cardio-vascular diseases. The medics recommend to stay as little as possible in the sun, to wear hats, light clothes with long sleeves. One should drink as much water as possible. The food eaten should also be easy to digest. They recommend to eat fresh fruit and vegetables as much as possible. As in other countries in the region, the hot weather periods in Moldova have grown longer and more intense for the last several decades.
