Hot water supply could be resumed today
The supply of hot water will be resumed immediately after the resources allocated by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) on December 20 reach Termocom SA, the councillor of the Moldova Noastra Alliance faction Oleg Cernei told Info-Prim Neo on Friday. He made the statement after representative of the local administration and the management of Termocom agreed on the transfer of a sum of 48.2 million lei for resuming the hot water supply in Chisinau.
According to Cernei, such a promise was made by the administrator of Termocom SA Dionisie Antocel.
The councillor said that the General Finance Division of the CMC Friday transferred the 48.2 million lei to the General Communal Housing Division, which was to transfer the money to the heat supplier so that the hot water supply is resumed from December 21.
However, Oleg Cernei says, there are no guarantees that the hot water will be supplied at the same temperature as before given that Moldova-Gaz reduced the volume of natural gas supplied to Termocom by 20%. The councillor says that the management of the thermoelectric plants CET-I and CET-2 will be summoned to a meeting at the start of next week to discuss the possibility of maintaining the adequate temperature of the hot water and heat.
Asked to confirm the given information, Termocom administrator Dionisie Antocel refused to communicate with Info-Prim Neo, saying that the agency misinformed the public opinion as regards the situation created around Termocom SA.
Termocom halted the supply of hot water two weeks ago in response to the CMC’s decision to cancel the heating charge of 540 lei and restore the old one of 233 lei.
