Hospital directors agree with minister’s order
The directors of the hospitals that will have a common administrative management are no longer against the health minister’s order about this reorganization. In a news conference on January 29, they said they realized the benefits of this reform that is very necessary in Moldova. Not long ago, some of them said they will demand abrogating it, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Victor Deatisen, director of the Infections Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorba”, told the press that he discussed this order a lot and in the end realized better the aim of the Health Ministry. He also said that the institution’s employees are still concerned about this order, but things will cam down.
Stefan Gatcan, director of the Mother and Child Center, said the reform of the administrative system in the national institutions is an urgent necessity. “We can say that there are no misunderstandings among trade unionists and staff. Only correct informing is needed,” he said.
Cardiology Institute director Mihail Popovici said that this reform is late and the hospital is ready to implement it.
Health Minister Andrei Usatyi reiterated that the changes that will take place do not envision redundancies or pay decreases, only that the hospitals will have common administrative management.
In the January 29 meeting of the executive bureau of the Trade Union “Sanatatea”, trade unionists condemn the minister’s order to merge a number of medical institutions, saying they will stage protests if it’s not annulled. The Bureau’s head Victor Benu said the order is illegal and runs counter to the legislation.
