“Hope '87” to implement new projects to reintegrate deprived young people

“Hope '87” will continue to support Moldova through social projects to socially and professionally reintegrate young people from socially deprived families, representatives of the Austrian foundation said in a meeting with Head of Parliament Igor Corman, IPN reports.

The foundation’s secretary general Robert Ottitsch said the organization would like to implement new projects in Moldova and is taking steps to identify the areas where it can be helpful.

The Austrian foundation made donations for building the Chisinau Social Center “Agapis” that was opened in 2004 under the Church “Great Saint Martyr Dumitru”. It also supported financially the creation of the Center of Studies for children undergoing long treatment at the Oncologic Institute.

Attending the meeting, bishop of the Church “Great Saint Martyr Dumitru” Pavel Borshevschi said the Center “Agapis” is like an extended family. The children come to it as to their home, especially because many of them are in a difficult situation, have disabilities or have their parents working abroad.

“Hope '87” (“Hundreds of Original Projects for Employment”) is an Austrian non-
profit initiative created in 1987 to support youth employment and youth training projects.
