The heavy rain that fell in the afternoon of June 24 seriously affected over 30 homes in the districts of Straseni and Hancesti. The people needed the assistance of rescuers to have the water pumped out of basements and yards, IPN reports.

According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rescuers also pumped water out at the Straseni Prosecutor’s Office and at a kindergarten of Hancesti town, which risked being flooded.

The local commissions for emergencies are to assess the caused damage.
