The delegation led by the Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova Vladimir will return from Jerusalem with the Holy Fire this evening, April 30. The Holy Fire will be distributed to priests and parishioners in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral in Chisinau between 7pm and 8pm, IPN reports.

According to the Moldovan Metropolitan Church, while in Jerusalem His Holiness Vladimir visited several holy places and then met with His Beatitude Teofil III, the Patriarch of Jerusalem. He will also attend the Holy Fire dissemination service.

For the first time, the Holy Fire will reach three communities of Moldovans in Italy. Starting with 10pm on April 30, the parishioners in three Christian-Orthodox dioceses in Italy will receive Holy Fire brought directly from Jerusalem. The Orthodox Christians in Vicenza city will also be able to kneel before the Wonder Working Icon of the Mother of God from Moldova’s Harbovat village.

The Holy Fire will be taken to the churches “Saint Hierarch” in Vicenza, “Saint Trinity” in Fidenza and “Saint Pious Xenia” in Reggio Emilia.
