Holiday atmosphere for children living on Coca St in Chisinau

There is a holiday atmosphere today with balloons, music and actors of the Children’s Theater “Guguta” in the yard of a series of apartment buildings located on Coca St in Chisinau’s Buiucani district. The City Hall presented the gift that it promised on Easter – a playground, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca said the playground is intended for three apartment buildings with about 2,500 dwellers. Most of the families there have little children. “We are implementing a program to set up playgrounds in the city and its suburbs. Until now we built up over 150 playgrounds and this is only the beginning. We will continue building them next year so that every yard has by at least one playground. We will also set up parking lots and lay out the green areas so as to create comfortable living conditions,” said the mayor. Writer Spiridon Vangheli came to the event and brought the children his books. The dwellers who took part in the opening of the playground said they are very glad that they now have a nice place where the children can play. The head of Buiucani district Valeriu Nemerenko has told Info-Prim Neo that this playground is the ninth built in the district. One more playing field will be opened next week on Calea Iesilor St. The district head said the playground was set up at a cost of about 150,000 lei.
