Artisans from Moldova, Romania, Russia, Italy and Belarus will showcase their best works and will compete at the Second Potters Fair, to be held during June 15-22 in the village of Hoginesti, Calarasi district, Info-Prim Neo reports. The fair will include a number of interactive pottery workshops and exhibitions of folk craft items, which will be available for sale. According to organizers, the Fair aims to revive the ancient craft, to display the potters' creative potential and further develop their skills, to discover new ceramics craftsmen and help them come out of anonymity. The village of Hoginesti wasn't chosen randomly, say the organizers, as it is a village which gave birth to many dynasties of potters who achieved recognition in the country as well as abroad. The event is organized by the Calarasi District Culture Division, the Union of Craftsmen, the Hoginesti Mayor's Office and SC Euroceramica SRL.
