The police identified the driver who hit mortally a pedestrian in Botanica district of Chisinau on December 16. The 30-year-old driver, who didn’t stop to help the victim, is from Ialoveni district, IPN has learned from the National Patrolling Inspectorate.

The accident happened at the intersection of Dacia Blvd. and Teilor St. The pedestrian aged 39 was jaywalking.

In several hours, the car involved in the accident was found in the yard of an apartment building situated on Traian St in the same district. The driver was arrested and is being questioned.
