History of Romanians will be taught in Gagauzia too, Premier
The History of Romanians will be taught in Gagauzia as well. In the April 27 sitting of Parliament, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that the law applies to all the territorial-administrative units of Moldova, including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vlad Filat answered the question of Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu, who wanted to know if the History of Romanians will be taught in Gagauzia too.
“In Moldova, the law is law for everyone and will be applied all over Moldova,” stated the Premier.
Earlier, the Governor of Gagauzia Mihail Formuzal said that if the central authorities insist on changing the name of the History course into the History of Romanians and Universal History, the region’s legislature will prepare an own law on the studying of the history of Moldova by the Gagauz students.
