Historian Iurie Colesnic launches eighth volume of “Unknown Bessarbia” series
Historian Iurie Colesnic presented his eighth volume of the encyclopedic series “Unknown Bessarbia”. The volume depicts 26 well-known figures from Bessarabia, who changed the course of history, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On the occasion of the launch of the volume, Iurie Colesnic received by presidential decree the honorific title of Master of Literature and the highest academic award – the medal “Dimitrie Cantemir”.
The Government of Moldova presented Iurie Colesnic with a diploma of the first degree for long and fruitful work aimed at developing and promoting the spirituality of the Moldovan people, recovering the historical memory of the nation, and for active involvement in solving social, cultural and political problems.
MP Iurie Colesnic is a Doctor Honoris Causa and a correspondent member of the UNESCO International Staff Academy in Kiev. He is historiographer, editor and scholar. Iurie Colesnic is also the vice president of the European Action Movement. On August 12, he turned 55.
