The consumers who declared that they use only electrical energy to heat their homes in winter and those who had average monthly consumption of at least 250 kWh last winter will benefit from a maximum subsidized amount of electricity. A condition is that these should not be connected to the centralized heating system. Among the beneficiaries are the consumers with average monthly consumption of heat of under 0.3 gigacalories or natural gas consumption lower than 80 cubic meters of gas last winter, as the Cabinet decided on Wednesday, IPN reports.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Marcel Spatari said there are about 7,000 families in such a situation.
The same decision stipulates that subsidies for electricity will be provided for a maximum amount of 75 kWh per consumption place a month, for consumers from the very high and high energy vulnerability categories. This way, the most vulnerable ones will pay a final charge of 3.3 lei /kWh, while those from the second vulnerability category – a charge of 3.7 lei/kWh.
Within a consumption of 180 cubic meters a month, the final price of gas for consumers from the very high energy vulnerability category will be 12 lei per cubic meter. This way, 17.27 lei per cubic meter of gas will be subsidized. The maximum subsidy in the bill for this category will be 3,110 lei.
For consumers will high energy vulnerability, the final price will be 14 lei per cubic meter and the maximum subsidy will be 2,750 lei. For those from the moderate vulnerability category, the final price will be 17 lei per cubic meter of gas, while for consumers with reduced energy vulnerability will 24 lei per cubic meter.
For household users of heat, the highest amount that will be subsidized is 1.3 gigacalories. The final charge for consumers will be 1,450 lei per gigacalorie, 1,700 lei per gigacalorie, 1,950 lei per gigacalorie and 2,500 lei per gigacalorie, depending on the energy vulnerability category.
The subsidies for consumers from the high energy vulnerability category for 1.3 gigacalories of heat consumed will be 1,825 lei in Chisinau and 2,080 lei in Balti. The subsidies for those from the second category will be 1,500 lei in Chisinau and 1,758 lei in Balti, while those for consumers from the third category will be 1,175 lei in Chisinau and 1,430 lei in Balti.
November 24 is the last day when persons can register on compenastii.gov.md to benefit from subsidies. About 700,000 applications have been submitted through the given platform so far.
