The new water and sewerage charges in Chisinau came into force on Friday. The relevant decision regarding the services provided by " Apă-Canal Chișinău" was published in the Official Gazette, IPN reports.

Thus, household consumers will pay 12.99 lei/m³ for water, by 2.2 lei/m³ more than until now, and 5.63 lei/m³ for sewerage services, up from the previous charge of 4.17 lei/m³

The new charges were approved on March 18 by the National Agency for Energy Regulation.

For non-household consumers, the charges for sewerage and wastewater treatment service remains unchanged: 10.16 lei/m3

The charge for technological water rose by 4.12 lei/m³ to 12.23 lei/m3.

4.22 lei/m3 is the new charge for the production and transport of water for redistribution, as opposed to the previous charge of 3.41 lei/m³.
