The Cabinet made changes to the decision concerning the conditions of remunerating the personnel of state higher education institutions with financial autonomy in a move to adjust the remuneration conditions in these institutions to the salary system in the budgetary sector. Thus, the pay grades for every remuneration category will be replaced with fixed salaries, IPN reports.
The tariff salary for the first remuneration category was set at 1,000 lei, which is equal to the minim official salary on October 1, 2014. The tariff pay for auxiliary teaching staff and ancillary workers will be between 1,000 lei and 1,600 lei.
The bonus for scientific degree or scientific-teaching title was also increased. For the scientific degree of doctor habilitate, the bonus will be 1,100 lei, up from 700 lei, while for university lecturer – 600 lei, up from 300 lei.
