Higher fines in Russia for violating passenger and freight transportation rules
The fines for breaking the passenger and freight transportation rules will be higher in Russia from May 5, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of Moldova.
The Ministry urges the carriers to familiarize themselves with the new changes to the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia and the law on the state control over international road transport.
The inspection institutions are allowed to stop units of transport at state border crossing points or other specially set up places if violations of the rules for transporting goods and passengers are identified.
Under the amended law, the drivers who will break these rules will be fined 4,000 to 5,000 rubles, the functionaries – 40,000 to 50,000 rubles, while the legal entities – 40,000 to 500,000 rubles.
The amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses were adopted on March 16.
