High-ranking visits to be paid to Moldova

The Director of the Office of Eastern European Affairs of the U.S. Department of State Bradley Freden will visit Moldova next week as part of a regional visit.

Bradley Freden will have consultations with colleagues from the U.S. Embassy and will meet with representatives of the Government of Moldova, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau.

U.S. Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan repeatedly underlined that the formation of the future Government of Moldova is a decision that belongs to the people of Moldova. The United States remains committed to close relations with Moldova and will constructively cooperate with any Government that will be constituted as a result of a legitimate process.

Commissioner for Europeans Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak are also expected to pay visits to Moldova next week.
