Held and forced to work as prostitutes in Rabnita den

The Transnistrian county police arrested the organizers of a den in Rabnita town. For four years, eight young women had been confined and forced into prostitution, Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in Transnistria informs, quoting the local interior ministry’s press service. At night, the young women were taken to a bar in the town to meet with the permanent clients. During a televised program, the women said that they were beaten for any mistake, continuously maltreated by the den’s “master”, especially when they complained about the living and “working” conditions. He tortured them, threatened to kill and bury them, to let a specially bought dog to tear them apart. He isolated one of the girls in his garage and beat her for several days with a cable that left terrible scars on her skin. “We were very afraid of him,” say the victims. There was a Russian woman together with them, the mother of a girl that disappeared. The criminals captured her while she was looking for her daughter and forced her to work in the household. All the young women are in a serious condition, in an advanced state of emaciation. Many of them have an inappropriate behavior. Medical assistance is provided to them so as to rehabilitate them. The Transnistrian interior ministry set up a hotline, calling on the population to be vigilant.
