Heavy rain destroys crops in Ungheni
Heavy rain overnight into Saturday, June 25, destroyed crops on tens of hectares in the district of Ungheni, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Civil Protection Service spokesperson Liliana Puscasu said that in Costuleni village, Ungheni, rain with hail affected at least 12 hectares of household farms and 14 hectares of sugar beet plantations. This is just preliminary information available at the moment.
Weathermen issued for June 25-30 a yellow code warning for rain, expecting heavy rainfall accompanied by electric discharges, locally with hail, and gusts of north-western wind of up to 15-20m/s.
