Heavier fines for owners who walk dogs without muzzle

Prime Minister Pavel Filip instructed the minister of the interior to formulate proposals for making the penalties harsher for dog owners who do not respect the conditions concerning the keeping and walking of the animals, IPN reports.

According to the Premier, many people walk the dogs in parks and other public places without a muzzle, endangering thus the health and even life of people.

A purebred dog left unsupervised bit four teens and an adult on a street in Strășeni town in the evening of November 13. One of the police officers who came to the scene shot dead the animal.
