The Cabinet on October 5 approved regulations concerning the method of organizing and carrying out periodic inspections of the heating systems in buildings, IPN reports.
The periodic inspections are needed given the low energy efficiency faced by most of the buildings.
The periodicity of inspections will depend on the category of building and the type of heating system.
The authorities also aim to agree measures to reduce energy consumption and limit carbon dioxide and gas emissions and to formulate recommendations for building owners to improve energy performance of the heating system.
The periodic inspections will cover the heating systems with a useful nominal power higher than 20kw.
