Heat to be supplied to Chisinau houses starting Tuesday
The first Chisinau residents will receive heat in their apartments starting from Tuesday, November 4, as all the houses connected to centralized heating will start get the heat during this week, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The City Hall servants decide not to abide by the rule and to start the heat before the air reaches an average of 8 degrees Celsius.
“The sit6uation is unusual this year: the temperature outside is above 8 degrees, but the walls of houses are cold. The frost start by the week-end,” mayor Dorin Chirtoaca told the City Hall staff meeting on November 3.
The air will get suddenly cold by the week-end, the forecasts go, with an average of +5 during the day, --1 degrees at night.
The Termocom heater stated its availability to start delivering the thermal agent any time, says the chief of the Housing Direction, Dionisie Boaghie. All the connecting works will last 10-20 days.
The Chisinau municipality will pay for 40% of the heating bills of the people whose monthly income per family member is less than 1450 lei. The people using logs and coals to heat their houses will get 250 lei monthly, while the solitary retirees – by 500 lei.
The City Hall is to define the addresses of the offices where people will go to lodge applications to get the compensations.
The other users will pay their heat charges in full, which 540 lei per 1 Gcal. Termocom asks for raising the tariff to 842 lei/ Gcal.
