A lot of people went to submit the documents to be accepted into universities on the first admission day on July 16. Some of the applicants queued up for hours despite the heat. Lists of applicants to the University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu” had been drawn up one day earlier, Info-Prim Neo reports. It is a psychological factor, said the admission commission's secretary Tatiana Loga. “If the students apply on the first day, this does not mean they will be the first in the lists of those admitted,” he stressed. Maria, a young woman from Ungheni who got to the university at 9am, found out there were 309 applicants before her, many of whom came yesterday evening. Sergiu Hanciu, the secretary of the admission commission of the Technical University of Moldova, said 200 applications have been accepted by midday. Pavel Berkovski, a graduate of the Transport College, said he chose the Technical University of Moldova in order to continue his studies at a similar department. “I'm anxious, but hope everything will be fine,” he said. The applications can be filed from July 16 to July 31.The results will be announced on August 2. The rerun contest for the unfilled places will take place during August 3-7.
