From next year, the inhabitants of the municipality of Chisinau could pay by 15% less for heat. SA Termoelectrica asked the National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) to adopt a regulated price of 2,783 lei/Gcal, as opposed to 3,267 lei/Gcal at present, and to reduce the charge for the electricity produced by the company, IPN reports.
SA Termoelectrica acting director general Iurie Razlovan told a news conference that Termoelectrica requested the NAER to adjust the charges for 2024, namely to decrease the heat charge by 15% to 2,783 lei/Gcal and the electricity charge by 8% to 3.65 lei per kilowatt/hour.
“We did the necessary calculations, consulted specialists of the NAER about them and submitted the figures to them, according to the procedure. They will now do their own calculations and will then probably make changes to our figures, depending on their view, methodology and will approve the new charges,” stated Iurie Razlovan.
