Hearing rooms for children required in Moldovan courts by 2011
By 2011 all Moldovan courts will have to set up separate hearing rooms for children, while amendments will be made in the legislation concerning free mandatory legal assistance for children, Info-Prim Neo reports.
These stipulations are part of the National Action Plan for preventing and combating violence against children covering the time-frame 2009-2011, which was adopted by the Cabinet on December 1 and published in Tuesday's issue of the Official Gazette.
By adopting this document the authorities have committed themselves to improving the national legislation in the field, including aspects concerning the deprivation of parental rights for abuse or violence against children.
According to the Cabinet's ordinance, the largest part of the money needed for the implementation of the plan will come from donations – about 40 million lei. The government will allocate 6.5 million lei.
