About 100 students of special schools for deaf and hipoacustic children are competing in the contest-festival “Dance 2013” on April 20, IPN reports.

The event is staged in Chisinau for the fifth time and brings together children from special schools situated in Chisinau, Cahul, Bender, Calarasi, and Tiraspol. They compete in folk dance and modern dance.

Held once in two years, the festival has been organized by the Association of the Deaf of Moldova, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the National Home of Culture of the Deaf, since 2003.
