Specialists from the field of health promote a healthy lifestyle in primary, secondary and general education institutions in the municipality of Chisinau. The event is organized by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport on the occasion of World Health Day, IPN reports.

The Division’s deputy head Valentin Cujba has told IPN that each institution prepared a plan of action. The activities and subjects discussed differ depending on the age of the students. The smaller children were told about the elementary hygiene rules, safe food, etc. In the ninth-twelfth grades, the specialists talked to the students about the consequences of taking drugs, smoking and drinking. Creation contests centering on health and other activities were staged in a number of institutions.

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7, when the World Health Organization was founded. This year the WHO highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with food safety under the slogan “From farm to plate, make food safe”.
