By the end of this year, the Ministry of Health, with the support of the World Health Organization, is to assess the results of the implementation of the Health System Development Strategy for 2008-2017. The issue was discussed in a meeting at the Ministry of Health, which involved representatives of international donor organizations, IPN reports.
The meeting assessed the document and discussed the initiation of the procedures for working out a new strategy, with the support of experts of international development agencies.
It also discussed the measures taken to implement the legislation on tobacco control and the additional support needed in this regard, the steps taken to adjust the legislation on the pharmaceutical sector and medical devices to the Community acquis and to strengthen the institutional capacities of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices within the Twinning project.
