The health policy this year will cost 4,860 lei, by almost 800 lei more than in 2014. The mandatory health insurance premium calculated in percentage will rise from 8% to 9%. It will be paid by employers and employees by 4.5% each. According to Minister of Health Mircea Buga, the rise means that the employees will pay monthly by 22.5 lei more, on average, for health policy from the salary.

The draft mandatory health insurance funds law for 2015 was approved by the Government on April 3, IPN reports. Under the draft law, the incomes of the mandatory health insurance funds this year will come to 5.16 billion lei, while the expenditure – to 5.26 billion lei.
