Secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection Denis Cernelea said the Ministry hasn’t been informed about cases of obtaining of the vaccination certificate by corruption. The comment was made after the press reported that some of the Moldovans pay doctors for being issued with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate without being administered the vaccine, IPN reports.
“We don’t know about such cases. We are permanently in contact with our colleges, primarily those from the primary medical assistance who are responsible for vaccination units, so as to prevent such cases. The relevant requests and warnings were made,” stated Denis Cernelea.
He called on the people who are witnesses to or know such cases to inform the Ministry of Health or the responsible bodies so that measures can be taken.
Each vaccinated person receives a vaccination certificate absolutely free. This shows that the person was vaccinated against COVID-19. The document is generated by the information system COVID-19 Vaccination Register, which ensures a high data protection level.
