Health insurance policy to cost by almost 300 lei more
The price of the mandatory health insurance policy for 2012 will rise by almost 300 lei to 3 066 lei, Minister of Health Adrian Usatyi confirmed for Info-Prim Neo.
As the previous years, those who will buy it during the first three months after the law on obligatory health insurance funds comes into force will pay half of its price, i.e. 1 533 lei.
The minister said the price of the policy was adjusted to the inflation rate.
The mandatory health insurance contribution for salary earners remained 3.5% of the pay. The employers will pay the same contribution for their employees.
Adrian Usatyi said that the list of drugs paid for by the state will be extended in 2012. The range of services included in the common package that is covered by the National Health Insurance Company will be diversified. The ultrasonographic and other costly, but important examinations will be also expanded.
The uninsured patients, except for those who suffer from socially-conditioned diseases, with major impact on the public health, will pay 20 lei per a visit to the doctor.
