Health Center in Javgur renovated with IOM’s assistance

The Health Center in the village of Javgur, Cimislia district, was renovated with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), IPN reports.

The renovation works included improving the main entrance, construction of an access ramp for persons with mobility disabilities, reconstruction of the sewage system, installation of a new sewage line, a septic tank with increased capacity, and strengthening the building perimeter to protect the main walls from water damage.

Ester Ruiz de Azua, IOM Moldova’s Chief of Mission, said that thanks to these IOM’s renovations and financial support from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), the health center in the village of Javgur has not closed and is now better serving 2,700 residents, both Moldovans and migrants, and around 100 people with disabilities in the local community.
