Head of Union of Ukrainians calls on people to vote

The head of the Union of Ukrainians of Moldova Svetlana Myslitski calls on the Moldovans, regardless of their ethnicity, to vote in elections as this way they can influence things in the country.

Contacted by IPN in connection with the presidential runoff, Svetlana Myslitski said in the discussions with members of the Ukrainian community in Moldova, they raise the topic of elections and urge them to go and vote, especially if they care about the developments in the country.

The head of the Union of Ukrainians said the people must not accept someone else to take decisions instead of them as this is what happens when they do not go to vote. “If you care about what is going on in the country, you should not have discussions in the kitchen only and should exercise your rights and go to vote,” stated Svetlana Myslitski.

She also said that when they vote, the people can influence the country’s future and can contribute to people’s welfare. A person who does not vote cannot later complain that someone else made the choice instead of this.
