Head of state voted for stability, development and Moldovan people’s welfare, as usual

The outgoing president of Moldova Vladimir Voronin voted for stability in the country, development and welfare of the Moldovan people. “We expect that the situation will stabilize and things will calm down so that we could start work at last,” the head of state said after casting his vote, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin expressed his confidence that the political crisis will be solved after the elections. Asked with whom the PCRM would form a possible coalition, the party’ leader said that they will wait for the election outcome first. “We should see the results of the elections and who will enter the Parliament first. Then we will decide. We are disposed to stabilize the situation and join efforts, regardless of the political orientation, Vladimir Voronin said. Speaking about the Transnistrian dispute, the president said that the talks in the 5+2 format are set to resume in October. Asked when the visas for Romanian travelers will be lifted, Voronin answered: “When the visa regime for all the Moldovan citizens will be lifted all over Europe.” Vladimir Voronin and his wife Taisia Voronin voted at the polling station located inside “Antioh Cantemir” High School in Chisinau at about 09.00. On April 5, 2009, Vladimir Voronin also said that he voted for stability, development and Moldovan people’s welfare.
